AGM and Society Updates

We had almost 40 show up for the AGM with another 15 absentee votes.  Thanks everyone! Your new committee is: Dave Lewis, Captain Johnny Shields, Vice Captain (Congratulation to Johnny and Lisa on the early birth of beautiful Emma!-- Mother and daughter doing great!) Glenn Hume, Treasurer Wayne Barber, Stevie Fyvie, Paddy Fitzpatrick and Liam Doherty, At Large Thanks to all who ran and all who voted. We will have our first committee meeting on Tuesday and will address many issues including a tournament indoors in early February, the end of February tournament and the away trip (February or March) Renewals are now due and thanks to all those who have already paid.  The committee unanimously decided to roll in the purchase of 4 raffle tickets to the renewal this year.  The raffle can raise as much as $7,500 if all 600 tickets are sold and this all goes back to the members for our strokeplay trip and last year for lessons with the John O'Leary golf academy.  You will have 4 months to sell (or buy) 4 $20 tickets so it should not be a burden.  Last year we fell short by almost $3000 dollars because we couldn't sell al lthe tickets.  The renewal is as follows: $25 renewal fee $20 USGA handicap if you don't currently maintain one $80 4 raffle tickets $125 Please leave with a manager at Ned's or send a check to Glenn Hume at 12167 Eddyspark Drive, Herndon, VA 20170
