The draw for the matchplay was held at Ned's and we have 65 entrants so there will be 1 play in match.
We started with an auction where we  bid on each player entered in turn.  There will be payouts to anyone making the last 16 with the winner earning over $5000. The auction raised over $13,000 and the payouts will be announced shortly.

Rules:

The top (home) player in the first round match will decide on which course the match is played and the away player will decide the tees and this will alternate through the semi final.  The final will be played at Pleasant Valley.

 Ladies always play from the red tees. 

Your handicap will be 3/4 of the handicap at the beginning of the month in which the match is played.  To work out the strokes subtract the lower index from the higher index and take 75% of the result

This is a matchplay event and the winner is the player who is more holes up than there are holes left to play.

Extra holes are to be played in the event of a tie. If the course cannot accommodate that then a second round must be played.

Each round must be played within the designated month. In rare exceptions the players may appeal to the captain for a short (very) extension.

Putts may be given and holes conceded.

If there is a dispute it will be decided upon by the committee. In the case of a dispute the round should be completed pending that decision.
